If we are meeting for the first time, I’m Kimberley Furness, the founder + editor of OAK Magazine.
From my home town Bendigo, I juggle two businesses (sometimes unsuccessfully) and wrangle four kids. In between reading trashy romance novels and watching Brad Pitt in Legends of the Fall, I work on building a platform for women to amplify their brand through stories.
Since launching OAK Magazine in 2017, I have discovered a number of amazing women who run their own business. I thought it was time we had a place to come and “Google” where to find these rural and regional gems.
It’s my mission to enable and empower female-owned and -led businesses to positively impact our communities, both socially and economically.
The directory is part of our ongoing commitment to support female entrepreneurs and women in business. OAK Magazine aims to support, celebrate and connect women in regional and rural areas as they build, sustain and advance their brand.
And you can help. By purchasing from or engaging their services, you are supporting our local economy. Please accept my virtual high five and know that a small business owner is doing some crazy happy dance when you purchase from them #truestory.
